In some case it’s important to have an external Webcam. But it’s not always easy to use a DSLR or Mirrorless without a capture card. This HowTo describes the configuration relating (to) my FujiFilm camera.

Prerequisite:

  • Install Apps on you MAC
    • Camera Live – link
    • Cam Twist – link
  • If not installed on you’re Mac, install XCODE
    • install via terminal: xcode-select –install

Setup

First you need to configure your camera.

FutjiFilm X-T3
SET UP >> CONNECTION SETTING >> CONNECTION MODE >>USB Tether Shooting Auto
(There are some additional configuration that can be made) The entire configuration can be seen in the video

Connect your camera with you MAC via USB.

Start the app Camera Live and select your camera and make sure – if it is marked as “active”.

Start the app Cam Twist and select “syphon” and select in the dropdown menu “Syphone Server” >> Camera Live.

Now you can use your camera as a webcam.
